Walking & Cycling Around London

Better weather will soon be here so it’s a great time to consider your fitness as well as the environment by choosing to walk or cycle all or part of your commute.

Many of us get a train into London, so instead of jumping on the rube of bus, see if you can cycle or walk the rest of the way instead.

Get Walking

Getting to know your way around town means your get to see parts of our great city as well do your mental health a world of good!

Many walking routes are actually faster than getting on public transport.

Check the TfL walking tube map to see where it is faster to walk than hop on a train:

Get on your bike!


If you don’t have a bike but want to cycle around London, the Santander bikes are easy to use.
 
With the increase in cycle lanes and changes to the highway code, it has never been safer and easier to get on your bike.

Planning your travel to work
